Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a 25-year-old man after he died ten days after being assaulted.
According to police Leo Charles Martin-Shea was assaulted on April 8, 2023, on the east side of Main Street at Stella Avenue but did not report the incident to police until April 11. Officers met with the victim who was taken to hospital in unstable condition. The victim died from the injuries he sustained in the assault on April 19, 2023.
