Early this morning around 3:10 am Winnipeg Police received a report that a 23 year old male had been seriously assaulted in the 300 block of Springfield Road.
When officers arrived they found individual with critical injuries. Paramedics rushed the victim to hospital where he died from his injuries
Police have a male suspect in custody and are continuing to investigate the incident.
An autopsy will be performed by the medical examiner.
