Winnipeg Police are looking for a woman in her 20s after she assaulted and robbed an 18-year-old female exchange student from Germany.
It happened just after 7:00 pm last evening, October 10, 2018, near Portage Avenue and Vaughan Street.
Police say the victim was crossing Portage Avenue when the suspect began to follow her. The suspect began to hit the victim’s bag and then slapped her twice and stole her phone, wallet and ID. The suspect then got on a Winnipeg Transit bus and during her ride, she began harassing other passengers. The female driver asked the suspect to leave the bus at which point the driver was shoved and spit on in the face before getting off the bus near Panet Road and Keenleyside Street.
Police say the suspect is Caucasian or Metis in appearance with a skinny build. She is approximately 5’3″ – 5’4″ in height and has shoulder-length dark hair with copper/red ends. She was wearing a black jacket with a fur hood and dark jeans.
