On July 14, 2016 at 11:45 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Street Crime Unit were conducting targeted patrols in the area of Broadway and Furby Street. Officers observed two male suspects assault a male victim.
   
After a brief foot chase, one suspect was arrested, however the second suspect was able to flee the area. The victim was treated for superficial injuries by members of the Winnipeg Police Fire Paramedic Service.
   
Scott Jason John GIBBS, 24-years-old, has been charged with the following offences and detained in custody:
 – Robbery
 – Fail to Comply with Probation x 4
