Police stopped the vehicle and learned that the driver was the subject of two arrest warrants as well as court-ordered conditions. Police informed the driver he was under arrest and the driver sped off dragging the officer about 75 metres before the officer could free himself.

Police issued another warrant for Christopher James Flett, a 28-year-old Winnipeg man, on November 3, 2017.  He was now wanted for assaulting a peace officer, resist peace officer, public mischief and several driving offences.

On November 5, 2107, Flett was seen driving in the 1600 block of Pembina Highway. Officers conducted a traffic stop and were able to arrest Flett but not before he tried to punch one of the arresting officers.

He remains in custody.
