Yesterday an assault incident occurred at approximately 2:00 pm in the vicinity of Central Park near Carlton Street and Cumberland Avenue. Police were quick to respond to the incident.
The suspect, a 29-year-old male, was quickly apprehended by responding officers. The circumstances leading to the assault are still under investigation.
The victim of the assault, a 42-year-old male, suffered from a stab wound and was also attacked with bear spray. Emergency services responded to the scene and provided medical attention. The victim was transported to hospital in unstable condition
Despite the severity of the attack the victim is now in stable condition.
