Winnipeg Police have charged a 53-year-old man in connection to two attacks earlier this year.
Police say that in January 2018, a 54-year-old male was hit over the head with a pipe in the 500 block of Elgin Avenue.
Ten weeks later on March 28, 2018, a 42-year-old male was inside his suite in the 500 block of Balmoral Street when the suspect entered it armed with a knife and a shard from a broken mirror. The victim was stabbed several times during the altercation but was able to get away.
53-year-old Oliver Daniel Murdock was arrested in the early morning hours of June 25, 2018.
He has been charged for his alleged involvement with Aggravated Assault, Assault Cause Bodily Harm, three counts of Possession of a Weapon, Assault with a weapon and Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice.
Murdock was detained in custody.
