Assault and robberies in Lord Selkirk Park area being investigated

The Winnipeg Police Service Major Crimes Unit is investigating three incidents in the Lord Selkirk Park area of the city.

Just before 10:00 pm on Tuesday night, October 13, 2020 two women were robbed at knifepoint by a large group of people. Neither female was injured in the incident.

A little more than two hours later and a male was stabbed during an encounter with a large group of people in the 600 block of Manitoba Avenue. The victim was taken to hospital in Unstable condition but has since been upgraded to stable.

While police were investigating the stabbing another robbery took place nearby by. An adult female was robbed at knifepoint. She was not injured.

Police patrolled the area with the help of Air-1 and a K-9 unit. Four people in the area were identified as suspects and placed under arrest. All four were detained in custody.
