Ashern resident injured in home invasion

RCMP are investigating a home invasion and robbery that happened early Saturday morning in Ashern.

According to police three armed males entered a home and threatened the residents while armed with a firearm, a machete and a baton. An adult male in the home was physically assaulted and suffered minor injuries.

The suspects made off with money, jewelry and electronics in a silver Jeep Wrangler. Patrols throughout the West Interlake did not locate the suspects who are described as being between 5’7″ and 5′ 10″ tall. One of the suspects is believed to be in his 40s with salt and pepper hair and hazel eyes.

Police believe the home was targeted and was not a random incident.
