RCMP in Ashern say that since the beginning of the year there have been 23 break and enters to a number of businesses in the Interlake community.
Ashern is about 190 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
The break-ins are occurring in the early morning hours and in almost all cases the culprits are breaking a window to gain entry.
Cash and mostly small items appear to be what has been taken from the businesses say police.
