Alleged arsonist wanted after buying gas and setting restaurant on fire

Thompson RCMP are trying to identify an alleged arsonist who set a Thompson business on fire early Thursday morning, July 18, 2019.

Police say the male suspect was seen filling a small bottle with gas at a nearby gas station. The suspect paid for the gas then walked the short distance to a local restaurant, Butter Chicken Express, where he started a fire.

Police say they believe the suspect may have burned his hands during the incident.

Survelience video from the gas station shows the male suspect with a dark hoodie concealing his face.
