Fire and police investigators are looking into multiple fires that were set in the Merchant Hotel on Selkirk Avenue Friday night.
Just after 9:30 pm emergency crews were called to the old hotel for report of a fire. When they arrived they found fires on the first, second and third floors which they put out quickly.
The hotel is undergoing a renovation to convert it into affordable housing.
No estimate of the damage has been released.
