Fire crews, police and paramedics responded to an apartment fire in the 400 block of Sherbrook Street on Friday morning just after 10:00 am

When crews arrived they evacuated the building. Six people were taken to hospital but have since been released.

Fire officials say that the fire was on the upper part of the structure and is suspicious in nature.

Damage to the building and contents is estimated to be close to $1,000,000.

Arson investigators are looking into the cause of the fire
