Arson charges laid after First Nation Safety Officer vehicle set on fire

A 42-year-old man is facing arson charges after he allegedly set a First Nations Safety Officer vehicle was set on fire in St. Theresa Point First Nation.

Police say that the fire was set around 6:05 am on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. The fire spread to a second vehicle. The fire also damaged two snowmobiles and a building.

Dan Taylor was arrested and charged for his alleged involvement with two counts of Arson and three counts of Mischief. He was detained in custody.
