Winnipeg Police bust three males for River Heights assault and robbery

Police in Winnipeg have arrested two youth and one adult in connection to an assault and robbery of a 66-year-old woman in River Heights on Saturday evening, April 27, 2019.

As News 4 previously reported a woman was walking in the area of Brock Street and Grosvenor Avenue around 6:00 pm when she was approached by three males. The victim was pepper-sprayed, hit with a weapon and robbed. She was treated at the scene for her injuries.

Officers have arrested and charged 18-year-old Gordon Lucas for his alleged involvement with:

  • Robbery
  • Conspiracy to Commit Robbery
  • Carry Concealed Prohibited Weapon x 2
  • Possess Weapon x 2
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Use of Credit Card

Two other suspects were also arrested. A 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old male face similar charges as Lucas.

All three suspects were detained in custody.
