Manitoba Integrated Organized Crime Task Force (MIOCTF), a joint policing unit comprised of RCMP, Brandon and Winnipeg Police Service officers seized a large amount of drugs, guns, cash and vehicles.
Project Derringer began seven months ago and was investigating an alleged drug trafficking network that was supplying drugs in Brandon and other communities in western Manitoba.
Last week the task force executed several warrants around Brandon and Griswold, Manitoba as well as in Toronto.
Three people have been arrested and charged for their alleged involvement.
Leslie Gerald Bisson, 36 from Griswold, MB has been charged with:
- Traffic in a Schedule I Substance Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
- Traffic in a Schedule II Substance Marihuana
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana
- Traffic in a Schedule III Substance Psilocybin
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Psilocybin
- Traffic in a Schedule I Substance Crystal Methamphetamine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Crystal Methamphetamine
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing Its Possession is Unauthorized (x7)
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (x7)
Javed Ali, 29 from Georgetown, ON has been charged with:
- Traffic in a Schedule I Substance Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
- Traffic in a Schedule I Substance Crystal Methamphetamine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Crystal Methamphetamine
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime
Justin Tyler Reimer, 28 from Brandon, MB has been charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Crystal Methamphetamine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana
- Possession of a Weapon (x2)
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (x5)
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing Its Possession is Unauthorized (x2)
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime (x2)
- Possession of Prohibited Device Ammunition Knowing Its Possession is Unauthorized
- Carless Storage of Firearm (x2)
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number Has Been Tampered With
Police seized the following items during their investigation:

- 3.15 kg of Cocaine
- 3 lbs of Marihuana
- 1.05 kg of Methamphetamine

- 2.3 kilograms

- 7.62 SKS assault-style rifle and ammunition
- 22 caliber handgun and ammunition
- One high-capacity magazine
- 7 mm Remington 700 BDL bolt action rifle (x2) and ammunition
- 22 cal. Mossberg 715T tactical rifle and ammunition
- 12 gauge Remington Express pump action shotgun and ammunition
- 12 gauge Remington Wing master pump action shotgun and ammunition
- 30-06 Weatherby Vanguard bolt action rifle and ammunition
- 300 Winchester Mag Browning bolt action rifle and ammunition

Police say a number of other items related to drug trafficking and associated paraphernalia, such as a cocaine press, money counter, scales, cutting agent, baggies, and numerous cellular phones (encrypted) were also seized during the investigation.
