A 24 year old man is lucky to be alive after he was tied up, beaten and shot several times with a BB gun on Tuesday October 11, 2016. The assault went on for hours and a one point the man was also threatened with a shotgun. He was eventually released and driven to an area north of Winnipeg and kicked out in the cold.
Although not dressed for the conditions he was able to get help at a local business and call police. He was taken to hospital where he is recovering from his injuries.
As police investigated they learned of the connection to the home in the 600 block of Cathedral Avenue.
On Wednesday, out of concern for officer safety police deployed their tactical team and ARV-1, the armoured tactical response vehicle to the home.

Three men, aged 40, 26 and 24, and a 31-year-old woman have been charged for their alleged involvement in the incident with forcible confinement, Armed robbery, Unauthorized possession of a firearm, Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, Use of a firearm during a crime, Assault with weapon, Pointing a firearm, Attempting to choke, suffocate or strangle another person, Several other drug and firearms-related offences.
