As News4 told you earlier, on July 5, 2016, around 3:50 am, emergency personnel responded to the area of Portage Avenue and Donald Street regarding an injured individual. The victim was transported to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
On July 15, 2016, Winnipeg Police Homicide investigators arrested a male regarding this incident. The suspect was arrested at the Winnipeg Remand Centre where he was being detained on unrelated charges.
Geordie Douglas WOOD, 22 years, of St. Theresa Point, Manitoba, has been charged with Second Degree Murder.
Wood was remanded back into custody.
