Former United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 832 Training Centre Director, Heather Grant-Jury has been charged with fraud over $5000.00 in relation to her work at UFCW.
Grant-Jury was a former principal secretary to Greg Selinger for five months beginning in late 2014 but the charges do not relate to any work she may have done for them.
Grant-Jury was also a board member of Manitoba Public Insurance and worked on the NDP election committee.
The union claims that Grant-Jury was suspended after they found irregularities regarding expense claims in December 2015 and was fired after they performed an internal audit.
Winnipeg Police arrested her last week for alleged involvement. She was released on a promise to appear.
