As News4 told you on September 3, 2016 police responded to a disturbance in the Exchange District in the early morning hours. A large group of people had gathered on the street outside a night club and were seen fighting.

While police were attempting to render aid to an assault victim, the crowd intervened and tried to stop officers from assisting him. One of the officers fired their taser and in the ensuing chaos dropped the weapon. It is believed that it was at this point the weapon was stolen.

On Saturday September 24, 2016 police received information about the weapon’s location and it was recovered.

Police also arrested an individual and say that charges are still pending.
