Winnipeg Police’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit received a tip that a Winnipeg based IP address was uploading child pornography images.
The ICE unit investigated and on October 26, 2016 executed a search warrant related to the IP address. Police seized a number of computers and electronic devices. As a result of the investigation police found hundreds of videos and thousands of images of child pornography.
Gerald LEMER, 59 from Winnipeg, was arrested and charged with the following offenses due to his alleged involvement:
- Possess Child Pornography
- Distribute Child Pornography x 2
Lemer was detained in custody.
