Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was called to an Arnold Avenue home just after 7:30 pm on Monday, March 27, 2023.
When firefighters arrived on the scene they saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the one-and-a-half-storey home. Crews launched a defensive attack outside the building as it was unsafe to enter. Firefighters remained on the scene for most of the night as it was difficult to get the fire under control.
People inside the home at the time the fire started were able to get out safely before fire crews arrived. No injuries were reported.
The home suffered significant smoke, fire and water damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation
