Armed suspect forces his way inside Edison Avenue home

Winnipeg Police Service Major Crimes Unit is investigating an armed home invasion that happened late Friday night, April 24, 2020.

Police say a woman was taking out her garbage from a home in the 200 block of Edison Avenue when a male came to the backdoor of the home and forced his way inside.

The suspect was holding a knife in his hand and demanding money from the victim.

Other people inside the home became aware of the intruder which caused the suspect to flee empty-handed.
