Police bust armed suspect hiding behind apartment building doorway.

Winnipeg Police have arrested a suspect after they received a call about a break and enter on Tuesday, February 13, 2018. When officers arrived to the apartment building in the 600 block of Ellice Avenue they found a male hiding behind a doorway wearing a balaclava and face mask.

Police say they arrested the man and a search found that he had what police describe as a “heavily reduced” sawed-off .22 calibre rifle. He also had a pouch containing .22 calibre ammunition cartridges, a pouch with .17 HMR calibre cartridges and a large hunting knife.
