A 38-year-old male is in custody after he allegedly was involved in two armed robberies on Friday September 6, 2019.

Police say that a male stole several items from a Nairn Avenue store just before 1:00 pm. During the robbery the suspect threatened a security guard with a knife and knocked the guard to the ground before taking off in a stolen vehicle.

A second robbery around 5:30pm, this time on Regent Avenue West, saw the suspect brandish a sawed-off shotgun at a loss prevention officer. The suspect fled the store with several items in a stolen vehicle.

Police located the suspect around 10:15 pm Sunday night, September 8, 2019. He was driving a stolen vehicle on Fife Street when officers made contact.
