Around 7:45 pm RCMP responded to an armed robbery at the Gilbert Plains Hotel on Saturday, July 4, 2020.
According to police a 41-year-old female armed with a knife walked into the hotel bar and demanded cash from the till. A staff member refused to provide the robber any cash then left the bar to ask several bystanders outside for help.
The bystanders entered the bar and followed the robber as she fled out the back door.
As police arrived in the area the bystanders were able to direct the officers to the suspect.

The suspect was still armed when officers found her and she refused to drop the weapon when ordered to do so. The suspect was then hit with a taser and quickly taken into custody.
The suspect was taken to hospital with minor injuries, treated, then released back into police custody.
Jeananne Juberville from Dauphin has been charged for her alleged involvement with Robbery, Disguised with Intent and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.
She was released on a promise to appear in court on September 8, 2020.
