Police in Sandy Bay First Nation looking for two armed robbers

Manitoba First Nations Police (MFNPS) are looking for two armed robbers who knocked over the Beach Road Service on the Sandy Bay First Nation. Sandy Bay is about 173 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.

Police say that just after 11:00 pm on Monday, April 15, 2019 two masked men entered the store from the back entrance and posted firearms at two employees inside. The pair then robbed the store and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. The robbers used an ATV to get out of the area as they escaped.

Officers arrived and found the two distraught employees but a search of the area did not locate the suspects.

MFNPS is asking anyone with information about the suspects to call the Sandy Bay detachment at 204-843-7705 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
