UPDATE | ARMED ROBBERS HOLD UP ST. BONIFACE BANK

 

 

Multiple suspects in custody

 

 

 

 

Around 4:30 pm on Thursday May 11, 2017 two people armed with knives robbed the National Bank Branch on Provencher Boulevard.

The pair received an undisclosed amount of cash then fled in a vehicle with two other men. 

Shortly after the robbery police located the vehicle that was used. While searching the area police saw two of the suspects in the 100 block of Alpine Avenue. The suspects took off on foot. Police brought in the K-9 unit and the dog was able to locate one of the males in the 600 block of Niakwa Road.

Police found two more suspects around Des Meurons Street and Humboldt Avenue around 7:30 pm.

The final suspect was captured at about 9:00 pm near St. Anne’s Road and Bishop Grandin Boulevard.

Police were also able to recover the money from the robbery.

No one was injured during the robbery according to police.

Four men from Southern Ontario have been charged with Robbery, Possess Weapon, Carry Concealed Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition and Disguise with Intent for their alleged involvement in the robbery.
   
  Lindon HUNTER,27 years old of Mississauga, ON, Denzel DOMFEH, 22 years old of Etobicoke, ON, Travis WALKER, 30 years old, of Ontario
  and Nicholas SMITH, 23 years old, of Mississauga, ON have been detained and charged.

Winnipeg Police Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate.
