RCMP are investigating two armed robberies at gas stations in Manitoba and believe they are connected. The first incident occurred in Teulon on February 7th at approximately 2:30 am at a local gas station. Four masked individuals, each carrying weapons, including a handgun and a baseball bat, entered the store and demanded cash and cigarettes from the employee.
Witnesses overheard the suspects speaking to each other in a language that suggests they are of Middle Eastern descent. The suspects fled the scene in a dark blue Mercedes-Benz C300, possibly a 2017 or 2018 model, with an unknown license plate. An undisclosed amount of money was taken in the robbery.
A similar incident occurred two days later, on February 9th at approximately 10:30 pm, at a Swan Lake First Nation gas station. Four individuals matching the description of the Teulon suspects were seen exiting a dark blue Mercedes sedan. Two of the suspects were armed with handguns, and another carried a baseball bat. They also made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
