Armed robber arrested after knocking over convenience store

Winnipeg Police busted an armed robber  Saturday afternoon, August 5, 2017, after they identified him as the suspect who knocked over a convenience store early Thursday morning.
It happened around 4:15 am on August 3, 2107, when the male suspect entered a store in the 100 block of Salter Street. According to police the suspect concealed his face and pulled out a handgun which he then pointed at an employee working alone.
The suspect stole some merchandise and then took off on foot.
Police have arrested and charged Eric Aaron Isaac Friesen, 22 from Winnipeg, for his alleged involvement with:
 
  • Pointing a Firearm
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Armed Robbery using a Restricted Firearm or Prohibited Firearm
  • Use of Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  • Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order (x2)
  • Disguise with Intent
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order (x2)
 
Friesen was detained in custody.
