Argument ends in one man stabbed and another arrested

Winnipeg Police have arrested a 21-year-old male from Garden Hill, Manitoba after he allegedly stabbed a 19-year-old male in the upper body.

It happened on Monday, October 2, 2017, in the 300 block of Ellice Avenue.

Police say that the suspect and victim had got into a verbal dispute that escalated quickly. According to police a second suspect then stabbed the victim multiple times in the upper body and head. The victim fell to the ground and the two suspects continued to assault the victim.

Both suspects left the area on foot before police arrived. The victim was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Police located one of the suspects a short distance away

 

Tyrone James Barkman, 21 from Garden Hill, Manitoba has been charged for his alleged involvement with

  • Assault
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Fail to Comply with Probation X2
  • Fail to Comply with Recognizance X2
