For the second time in the past eight days the Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba has begun an investigation into an on-duty RCMP officer speeding in a patrol unit without justification to.
The IIU says they were notified of the incident that happened on January 8, 2021, on Highway 83. The officer is alleged to have been driving recklessly while speeding .
The IIU civilian director determined that the incident should be investigated due to public interest.
