On Thursday, January 7, 2021, investigators from the RCMP, Manitoba First Nations Police Service and Winnipeg Police Service arrested another person in connection to the murder of Tamara Benoit.
Police made the arrest at a Winnipeg residence. 36-year-old Tovahs Jeanine Peters has been charged for her alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder and Accessory After the Fact to Murder.
She was detained in custody.
Yesterday police announced that they had arrested two other people, a 15-year-old male who was questioned and released and 37-year-old Ryan Peters from Long Plain First Nation who was charged with Second Degree Murder for his alleged involvement.
Police say the investigation is continuing.
