Good news for Winnipeg drivers! The City of Winnipeg has announced the immediate lifting of the annual winter route parking ban. This means residents can once again park overnight on designated winter routes without the risk of ticketing or towing.
The announcement, released this morning, signals the end of the seasonal restrictions in place to facilitate snow-clearing operations throughout the winter months.
For months, Winnipeggers have had to carefully monitor parking restrictions, particularly between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., on designated winter routes. Now, that restriction has been removed.
The city also clarified that there are currently no other winter parking bans in effect.
