Winnipeg’s annual snow route ban begins at 2:00 am on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.
Snow routes are designed to allow emergency vehicles the ability to quickly navigate the city during and after a snow event. They are top priority for snow clearing and ice control according to the City of Winnipeg.
Motorists are encouraged to check streets for snow route signs, or if unsure, use our online address lookup tool, the Know Your Zone mobile app, our interactive snow route map, or by contacting 311.
The annual snow route parking ban remains in effect until February 28, 2022. Vehicles are prohibited to park on those routes between 2:00 am and 7:00 am daily.
