ANDREA GIESBRECHT FOUND GUILTY OF 6 COUNTS OF INFANT CONCEALMENT

In the decision handed down today by Provincial Court Judge Murray Thompson, the court found Andrea Giesbrecht guilty of concealing the remains of six infants.

The judge also said in his ruling that based on DNA evidence that Giesbrecht was the biological mother and her husband the biological father of the infants.

In October of  2014 Giesgrecht was charged with disposing of the body of a dead child with the intent to conceal the delivery .

Her trial began in April 2016 with a number of lengthy breaks throughout. The judge-only trial wrapped up in the fall.

Giesbrecht had ​pleaded not guilty to all six counts.
