RCMP have arrested and charged a 36-year-old man from Ebb and Flow First Nation after he allegedly threatened a female while armed with a gun at a residence in the community on Monday evening, July 26, 2021.
According to police, the female was able to get herself out of the situation and flee to a safe place while the man began driving around the community with the firearm.
Police eventually found the male in a residence in the community but he tried to get away on a nearby ATV. A police dog was sent after the male and he was taken into custody after suffering minor injuries. He was treated in hospital then released back into police custody.
Marlon Baptiste has been charged for his alleged involvement with Uttering Threats, Forcible Confinement, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Pointing a Firearm, Careless Use of a Firearm, Discharge Firearm While Being Reckless, Assault with a Weapon, and four counts of Failure to Comply with Firearm Prohibition Order.
The investigation continues.
