Alleged drug trafficker arrested and charged

Winnipeg Police Service has arrested and charge an alleged drug trafficker after members of the Guns and Gangs Unit began an investigation in October 2023 into an adult female suspected of selling illegal drugs in Winnipeg.

Officers stopped the suspect while she was driving near Portage Avenue and Edmonton Street on October 26, 2023, and place her into custody. A search of the vehicle uncovered a small amount of crack cocaine, about $300 in cash and a cell phone.

A search warrant was executed later that day at the suspect’s home in the 500 block of Manitoba Avenue and a number of items were seized including:

  • Approximately 73 Grams Cocaine (Estimated Street Value: $7,300)
  • Over 90 Tylenol 3 tablets (Estimated Street Value: $455)
  • Contaminated Digital Scale

The 32-year-old female was charged for her alleged involvement with:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

The suspect was released on an Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code of Canada.
