Manitoba’s police watchdog agency is investigating an allegation that an on-duty RCMP officer, operating an RCMP vehicle, was seen speeding on Highway 1 near Brandon on October 6, 2022. The allegation is that the officer was speeding without lawful justification to do so.
The Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) says that it has been determined by its civilian director that it is in the public interest for the IIU to investigate.
