Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is investigating a fire that happened early Tuesday morning, June 25, 2019, in a vacant four-storey apartment building.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on Alfred Avenue around 3:00 am and arrived to find a well-involved fire with heavy smoke and flames.
Firefighters fought the blaze defensively as it was unsafe to enter the structure.
Fire officials say that the fire was brought under control by 4:13 am and at that point crews entered the building to continue putting out the flames and conduct a search of the structure.
