RCMP is investigating a single-vehicle rollover that happened in the early morning hours of Canada Day.
According to police, a pickup truck travelling northbound on Provincial Road 21w left the roadway and rolled, landing on the passenger side of the vehicle in the east ditch. The vehicle caught fire and was completely burned out.
The driver and front passenger were ejected from the truck. The 19-year-old driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The 18-year-old front passenger died at the scene. The two passengers in the back seat were able to exit the vehicle and only had minor injuries.
Investigators believe alcohol played a factor in the collision.
RCMP continue to investigate.
