Air-1 spots firearm on a roof after report of gunshots

Early Saturday morning Winnipeg Police were called to a home in the 600 block of Furby Street for the report of a fight and the sound of gunshots.

Air-1 responded to the call and noticed one of the suspects trying to hide a firearm on the lower section roof of the home.

Two suspects were arrested and the firearm was seized.

Terryl Alvin James Severight, 26-years-old from Winnipeg, has been charged for his alleged involvement with Pointing a Firearm, Discharge a Firearm with Intent, Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized and Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm.

Aaron Lewis Bryant, 29 from Winnipeg, has been charged for his alleged involvement with Assault with a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon.

Severight was detained in custody. Bryant was released on a promise to appear.
