If you have wondered where the Winnipeg Police helicopter has been over the last few weeks, wonder no more.
The eye-in-the-sky, Air-1, is currently undergoing mandatory maintenance. Under Transport Canada aircraft maintenance guidelines there are a number of times throughout an aircraft’s life span that require mandatory inspections and maintenance.
Air-1 is currently in a 12-year mandatory maintenance overhaul. The cost of which will run about $680,000. The work is expected to be complete by the end of May.
