On the morning of July 26, 2024, at approximately 7:00 am, Oakbank RCMP responded to a distressing incident of aggravated assault at a business located on Jean Marc Avenue in the RM of Springfield.
According to reports, a 27-year-old male from Winnipeg had just arrived outside the business when he was brutally attacked by four unknown men wielding machetes. The victim sustained serious injuries and was promptly taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
The investigation into this violent assault is ongoing. Authorities are particularly interested in identifying a dark-coloured Honda Civic that was seen in the area at the time of the incident.
