Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a fire in a single-storey, multi-residential house in the 400 block of Provencher Boulevard around 4:30 pm on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

When firefighters arrived on the scene they found smoke coming from the building. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was quickly extinguished.

People inside the structure at the time of the fire were able to get themselves out before emergency crews arrived.

No injuries were reported.

The building suffered minor damage to the structure and smoke damage throughout.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
