Police have charged a 44-year-old male in connection to downloading child pornography and then making the images available for others to download.

Officers with the Winnipeg Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) began their investigation in April of this year and on July 29 executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home. Investigators seized a number of electronic storage devices and were able to confirm child pornography content were on the devices.

Corbett Joseph Willian Ducharme has been charged for his alleged involvement with Possess Child Pornography, Access Chil Pornography and Possess Child Pornography for the Purpose of Distribution or Sale.

Ducharme was released on an Undertaking with conditions.
