RCMP is investigating a fatal fire on Viking Bay in the RM of Gimli on Saturday, January 28, 2023.

Police say the fire began in the garage but quickly spread to the main part of the house.

The remains were discovered once firefighters were able to get inside the building.

Police say the identity of the deceased has not been confirmed and an autopsy is taking place.

RCMP and the Officer of the Fire Commissioner are investigating.
