Drugs found after Friday morning police pursuit

Three men are in custody after a K-9 unit observed a suspicious vehicle around McPhillips Street and Winnipeg Avenue around 12:49 am on Friday, January 29, 2021. As officers tried to stop the vehicle it sped away.

Officers gave chase and with the use of a stop stick was able to eventually stop the vehicle near Arlington Street and Church Avenue when it became stuck in a snowbank.

The suspects left the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers and a K-9 unit tracked the suspects and all three were were taken into custody.

A search of the suspects and the vehicle uncovered six ounces of Methamphetamine and 21 rounds of ammunition. Police are still trying to determine if the vehicle had been stolen.

Police say the three male suspects aged 26 to 32 remain in custody and face a number of charges.
