RCMP looking for two suspects in Riding Mountain arson

Neepawa RCMP are investigating an arson that happened in the town of riding mountain just after midnight on October 10, 2020.

According to RCMP the home was fully engulfed in flames when emergency crews arrived on the scene. No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

Police say that before the fire started two suspects were seen on the property where the fire occurred for about an hour prior to the blaze. The suspects are seen moving around the yard and close to the house.

Investigators say the pair appear to be trying to hide. Several flashes of flames are seen coming from the west side of the structure. At 11:28 pm the two suspects are seen leaving the area walking east on 2nd Avenue.

RCMP are asking anyone with information about the fire or the identity of the suspects to call them at 204-476-7340, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.

RCMP and the Office of the Fire Commissioner continue to investigate.
