Winnipeg Police have arrest two people in connection to the serious assault on a 76-year-old woman.
The victim had been out for a walk in the early morning of August 7, 2020 when she was brutally attacked in the 200 block of Pacific Avenue. Shortly after the first assault and while the victim was still on the ground the suspects returned and assaulted her again.
On Thursday, August 27, 2020, police appealed for help from the public to identify persons of interest who were captured on surveillance video in the area around the time of the assault.
Investigators from the Major Crimes Unit were able to identify two suspects and take them into custody on Friday, August 28, 2020.
A 17-year-old male and an 18-year-old female will be facing charges for their alleged involvement of Aggravated Assault and Robbery.
